IT SECTOR AS A FACTOR OF INNOVATIVE RENEWAL, SUSTAINABILITY AND STRUCTURAL TRANSFORMATION OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY
Abstract
The relevance of the study is determined by the increasing role of the IT sector in ensuring economic resilience, maintaining export capacity, supporting digital modernization, and creating the foundations for structural transformation of the national economy under wartime conditions and post-war recovery. In the contemporary economy, the IT sector should be considered not only as a provider of digital services, but also as a strategic factor shaping innovation potential, institutional adaptation, and long-term competitiveness. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role of the IT sector as a factor of recovery, resilience, and structural transformation of the national economy. The study is based on the use of analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, systems approach, statistical analysis, and graphical modeling. The article focuses on the export significance of the IT sector, its fiscal contribution, its institutional role in the development of digital business frameworks, and its broader transformational influence on adjacent economic activities. Special attention is paid to the interaction between digital entrepreneurship, public digital services, technological adaptation, and national recovery priorities. The discussion also addresses the relationship between the IT sector and economic modernization, including its ability to support employment, foster innovation-driven business models, reduce transaction costs, and facilitate new forms of economic coordination. The study argues that the contribution of the IT sector should be interpreted in a multidimensional way, combining direct economic effects with indirect institutional and structural consequences. Particular emphasis is placed on the fact that the IT sector has demonstrated a high level of adaptability in crisis conditions and has remained one of the most operationally sustainable segments of the economy. The prospects for further research are associated with the development of methodological approaches to measuring the multiplier effect of the IT sector, assessing its intersectoral contribution to recovery, and identifying the mechanisms through which digital activities can accelerate the structural renewal of the national economy.
