INNOVATIONS IN THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL RESEARCH ON INVESTMENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT OF VIRTUAL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE IT SECTOR
Abstract
This article substantiates the key aspects of innovating research on investment and project management within IT virtual organizations and develops a multidisciplinary toolkit for examining virtual teams as investment recipients. Relevance – the evolution of digital technologies has driven the emergence of virtual organizations operating via network architecture and distributed governance. Traditional methodologies tailored to physical assets are ineffective for virtual teams whose primary assets are human and intangible capital. A contradiction exists between the growing capital raised by early-stage virtual teams (Pre-seed, Seed, Crowdfunding) and the lack of tools to assess their investment capability and unique risks (loss of synergy, information asymmetry, IP conflicts). This necessitates an innovative management framework for such entities. Methodological Basis – the study relies on a dialectical approach, systems-cybernetic and systems-synergetic analysis, and modern economic theories (portfolio theory, risk-return tradeoff, behavioral finance, information asymmetry, digital leadership, dynamic capabilities). Methods applied include: retrospective, comparative, and bibliometric analysis; systematic generalization and scientific abstraction; modeling, structural-logical analysis, and Computational Social Science. Results – a systematized theoretical foundation for IT virtual organizations was established, synthesizing positivist, systems-cybernetic, and constructivist approaches. A specialized classification system was proposed, positioning investment management as an interdisciplinary, dynamic field oriented toward Big Data and AI. The status of a virtual organization as an autonomous investment recipient was substantiated. The Adaptive Multimodal Investment Readiness framework (AMIR-Framework) was developed to replace historical financial reporting by analyzing real-time team dynamics via Data Mining, Social Network Analysis, psychometric profiling, and digital footprint tracking. Practical Significance – lies in adapting financial-operational analysis to virtual environments by integrating the AMIR-Framework with applied checklists. This enables comprehensive evaluations of Quality of Earnings, operational margins, cloud infrastructure, tax compliance, and banking controls, facilitating an applied transition to effective investment-project coordination.
