INTEGRATION OF PROJECT AND INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF ENERGY SECTOR DIGITALISATION
Abstract
The article examines digital management tools in the integration of project and investment activities of energy enterprises in Ukraine. The relevance of the study is determined by the simultaneous impact of global energy transition, digitalization, decarbonization, the development of distributed generation, the growing role of renewable energy sources and large-scale wartime damage to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. The purpose of the article is to substantiate an economic and mathematical model for retrospective and prospective analysis of the development of Ukraine’s energy sector, taking into account global trends, current national challenges and the need to integrate project and investment decision-making. The methodological basis of the research includes a systemic approach, economic and mathematical modelling, scenario analysis, investment analysis, project management logic, digital maturity assessment and multi-criteria evaluation. The article proposes an integrated model that combines indicators of project efficiency, investment attractiveness, digital maturity, energy resilience, decarbonization potential and risk exposure. Digital management is a key tool for integrating the project and investment activities of energy companies in the context of digitalization, military risks, and the global energy transition. Its application enables a shift from fragmented management of individual projects to systematic management of the project and investment portfolio based on data, indicators, digital platforms, and scenario analysis. The model can be used to compare energy projects, prioritize investment portfolios, assess the retrospective dynamics of the energy sector and develop prospective scenarios for modernization, decentralization and digital transformation. The practical value of the study lies in the possibility of applying the proposed model by energy enterprises, public authorities, investors and local communities for decision-making on recovery, modernization, distributed generation, smart grids, energy storage and digital platforms for managing energy assets.
