IMPROVEMENT OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF IT ENTERPRISES’ COMPETITIVENESS UNDER DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Abstract
The article addresses the issue of strategic management of the competitiveness of information technology enterprises in the context of digital transformation and global competition. It analyzes the key challenges faced by IT companies, including rapid technological change, talent shortages, and increasing pressure from innovative startups. The study substantiates the need for adaptive strategic management models based on flexible approaches, digital tools, and systematic market analysis. Conceptual foundations for the development of competitive strategies are proposed in line with current trends in the digital economy. In addition, the article explores the impact of technological dynamism and globalization on corporate decision-making processes, emphasizing the importance of resilience and strategic agility. It is argued that traditional management practices are no longer sufficient to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage in a fast-changing environment. Therefore, the implementation of integrative and data-driven strategic frameworks is essential for IT enterprises seeking long-term growth and leadership. Special attention is given to the role of innovation ecosystems, cross-sectoral collaboration, and talent development as integral components of strategic competitiveness. The findings contribute to the theoretical and practical understanding of how IT firms can adapt to the complexities of the modern digital landscape and enhance their ability to compete on both national and international levels. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of foresight, continuous learning, and investment in digital infrastructure as prerequisites for building strategic resilience. Strategic alignment with global technology trends, proactive risk management, and effective use of big data analytics are presented as key factors that influence competitiveness in the digital age. The article concludes by offering practical recommendations for policymakers, business leaders, and researchers aimed at strengthening the strategic capacity of IT enterprises through innovation-oriented leadership, sustainable business models, and knowledge-based resource management.
